: ABD President Joe Biden announced that he plans to issue a bill targeting Jewish settlers involved in violent incidents in the West Bank region of Palestine.
Biden, speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, said he understood the pain and passion felt by many people around the world, paying tribute to 3 US soldiers who were killed in an attack on a US base in Jordan.
Talking about the conflict between Israel and Palestine, Biden said, “We pray for those living in horrific conditions, those taken captive, those bombed, and those innocently displaced men, women and children who don’t know where their next meal will come from or if it will come at all. We’re not just praying for peace, we’re actively working for peace, security and dignity for both the Israeli people and the Palestinian people.”
Biden said that they were working “day and night” for the return of prisoners from the Gaza Strip to their homes, while also working to “alleviate the humanitarian crisis, bring peace to Gaza and Israel, and establish lasting peace between the two nations.”
Commenting on the violence incidents in the West Bank region of Palestine, Biden said he plans to issue a bill targeting Jewish settlers involved in these violent incidents.
